Who are we?

The Hope Center is a relatively new Apostolic and Revival Ministry meeting in Chesapeake, one of the five cities that make up the south Hampton Roads metropolitan area. We look forward to spending some time with you soon, and introducing you to one of the greatest aspects of our ministry.  The outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon a people who are exceptional in their hunger for more of God.

When do we meet?

The Hope Center meets every Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. and every Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. The meetings are currently held at the Church of the Messiah located at 816 Kempsville Road in Chesapeake, Virginia. Once every other month, we hold special meetings during our Outpouring Weekends. We encourage you to come expecting God to do great and surpassing things. Special Note: Our desire is to see you whole in the glory of Christ. We regard every church service as an outpouring service where we expect and then actually watch the Lord do incredible things. So come expecting God to show up in a spiritual atmosphere where the level of expectancy and faith continue to climb to new heights.

What is the Outpouring?

We have been blessed with an outpouring of the Holy Spirit for over two years now. The flow of God’s revelation and power continues to mount in depth and strength. The manifold gifts of the Holy Spirit are being released in great ways in our assembly. Every week, people are being healed of various afflictions. People are returning to the Lord with renewed ardor. We are seeing both the love for God being revived and zeal for His house being ignited in people’s hearts. New levels of prophetic worship are flowing with beauty and richness in our celebration services. Excitement is building as we witness the book of Acts coming alive again in Hampton Roads!

As this move of God continues to mature, our desire is to see the fire of revival spread over the entire region, across the state and around the world. We are allowing the Holy Spirit to have His way and to do whatever He desires in our midst. Every time we gather together, we encounter a fresh expression of the Holy Spirit as the present move of God unfolds in our church. The result is that each meeting is experienced as a special outpouring service with its own identity. Our services are also known by many as a hotbed of angelic activity in the spiritual realm.

What is worship like?

Our worship at the Hope Center reflects a fresh hunger and passion for the manifest presence of God. Our singers and musicians know how to touch the heart of God and bring forth heavenly music that stirs excitement and adoration. Come soar into the heavenlies with us!

What happens during ministry time?

We desire to see the Holy Spirit move in whatever way pleases Him. In every service, people are touched by the love and power of God. We never leave a service untouched by the Lord’s Presence.

What do you mean by the Presence of God?

While God is Spirit, He can be felt. When God’s Presence comes, you sense His great love for you and you become aware of how wonderful He is. Being in the Presence of God is truly an awesome experience that you don’t want to miss.

What do you have for my kids?

We have a great service for our children here at the Hope Center. We call it, Kingdom Kids. Our ministry to children equips them for supernatural works, including prophecy and healing.

What should I wear?

Come as you are. We encourage everyone to wear clothing that makes them feel comfortable.
